It’s homecoming at Marcellus Community Schools, and the week of October 7 is filled with exciting activities! Festivities include float building, dress up days, a powder puff game, pep assembly, high school dance, parade and more. Homecoming week culminates under the Friday night lights, on October 11, when the Wildcats take on the Eau Claire Beavers at 7:00 p.m., and the 2024 homecoming queen and princess will be crowned at half-time. Come out to support and celebrate your Wildcats!
Did you know?
The first marking period ends on November 1. In an effort to support student achievement and success, Marcellus Community Schools offers after school Homework Hour throughout the school year. Homework Hour runs from 3:00 to 4:00pm., is staffed with certified Marcellus teachers, and provides an opportunity for students to get help with homework. (Homework Hour is not held on student ½ days). Marcellus Middle School will also offer Saturday School, from 8:30- 11:30 a.m., on the following dates: October 26, November 16, January 11, February 15, March 22, April 26, and May 31. Parents are encouraged to contact their student’s school office with any questions.
Reminders:
- Don’t forget to vote in the November 5 election. Three candidates are running for three school board seats. Candidates include incumbent Vicki Essex, Matt Asmus, and Emily Good.
- Mark your calendars for Parent- Teacher Conferences on November 7, from noon- 3:00 p.m. and 4:30- 7:30 p.m. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
