The schools of choice provisions in Section 105 and 105c of the State School Aid Act allow local school districts to enroll nonresident students.  Section 105 permits local school districts to enroll students who reside in other local school districts within the same intermediate school district. Section 105c allows enrollment of students who reside in school districts located in contiguous intermediate school districts. Marcellus Community Schools will accept second semester enrollment applications from January 8 until January 22.  Enrollment applications are available at any school office and on the school district’s website at https://marcelluscs.org/district/school-of-choice/.  Applicants who are selected for second semester enrollment will be notified in time for the new semester that starts on January 22.

Winter weather has arrived and that means there is potential for school cancellations.   When Marcellus Community Schools must delay or close school, notifications can be found on the school Facebook page,  WWMT Channel 3, WNDU Channel 16, WSBT Channel 22, WOOD Channel 8, WOTV Channel 41 and ABC 57.  In addition, an automated telephone call alert is made to all parents who have provided accurate contact numbers. Parents and guardians are encouraged to update contact information with the child’s school office.
