The carnival will be held in the elementary gym from 11-1:15pm with the Halloween Parade to follow. You can also look for the link on the Marcellus Elementary School’s Facebook page for the link to sign up.
As you know attendance is extremely important and a major indicator for reading and math skills. Please make sure your child is to school by 7:47 a.m. If your student arrives after 8am a parent or guardian MUST sign them in at the front office.
The end of the first marking period is closely approaching already. Friday, October 31st is the end of the 1st marking period. Our fall conferences are on Thursday, November 6th.
Yours,
Mrs. B

Hello Marcellus Families,
The school year is off to a great start! Thank you for the amazing turn out at our open house that took place on August 20th. It was great to see everyone’s support and to see our students and families.

As many of you are aware our staff uses Remind or ClassDojo to communicate with our families. Please be mindful that as much as our staff loves and cares about every child in our district, they also have families of their own. I ask that you contact staff during school hours. If this isn’t feasible due to your own work schedule, please be mindful that staff will get back to you when they return to work.
Please remember that if a student arrives after 8am a parent must sign them in at the front office.
Those parents who are picking up students in the afternoon and / or dropping off in the morning, please have your child(ren) use the door closest to the sidewalk of your vehicle. Any transportation changes, please notify the front office BEFORE 2:30 p.m. 269-646-9209

Mrs. B

Hello Marcellus Families,
The first full week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. We will be celebrating the staff each day of the week with a special treat in celebration from May 5th – May 9th. Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for all that you do for our students, families and school community. We would not be who we are today without YOU!
When the weather finally gets warm consistently, please remember to send your child(ren) to school in shoes with backs on them.

Our Wildcat Walk will be here before we know it. We will hold our annual fundraiser on Friday, May 23rd. This annual fundraiser is what keeps our Cats cart filled on Fridays to celebrate students’ excellent behavior, Santa’s Express and special treats throughout the year.
Please, remember that if your child is sick to call the front office to notify us. Children must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Yours,
Mrs. B
Hello Marcellus Families,
Welcome to the 4th quarter in the 2024/2025 school year. I hope everyone enjoyed your Spring Break last week.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION! If you know of a 5-year-old who is looking for an exceptional school experience please have their parents come to Marcellus Elementary on Tuesday, April 15th at 5:30pm. They will learn about our kindergarten programs and what needs to be filled out and returned to enroll their child.
April and May bring with them state testing for our 3rd through 5th graders. PLEASE, make sure that your child(ren) is getting enough sleep the night before the test, arrive to school on time so that they can receive an extra delicious hardy hot breakfast from our lunch ladies, and have time to settle into their day before showing the world how smart they are.
In May we will hold our annual Wildcat Walk. More information on the walk will be coming home with each child in the next couple weeks. This fundraiser helps us provide our students with extra fun activities throughout the year and keep our Friday Cats Ticket Cart loaded with fun prizes for each child.
Yours,
Mrs. B
