We have so much to be proud of at Marcellus Community Schools!  Here’s some student achievement highlights over the last couple of weeks.

The amazing Wildcat Bands participated in the MSBOA District VI Band and Orchestra Festival and came away with top scores!  Both the middle and high school bands earned a 1 for their performances.   Kudos to our dedicated band members and Director Katy Essex

Mrs. Asmus and her FFA members enjoyed the State Convention and won many awards, scholarships, and accolades.  In addition to an $1,800 Glassbrook Grant, our chapter racked up seven Academic Excellence awards, two Outstanding Junior awards, two State Degrees, and two State Championships!

State Champions are Madelyn Osbeck in Animal Systems, Division 1 Agriscience Fair, and Ally Wright and Morgan McClain in Food Science Products and Processing, Division 4 Agriscience Fair. Earning State Degrees are 2024 MHS graduate Abigail Asmus and senior Lyssa Robson.

In addition, four ferocious Wildcat grapplers earned their way to state competition at Ford Field.  Congratulations to Madisyn Harrison, Marvin Jones, Carlee Osborn, and Brock Woodhouse!   Osborn and Woodhouse took seventh place, Harrison won eighth, and all three put a bow on it by earning Academic All State honors!   Great job to our Wildcat wrestlers, Coach Sam Adams and assistants Andrew Crawley, Trenton Kane, and Ash Stokes.

Finally, senior basketball player Parker Adams became the fifth player in school history to score a thousand career points!  He achieved this remarkable milestone in the last regular season game of the year.  After three district games, Adams finished his career with 1,051 points!

I am abundantly proud of the many spectacular achievements of Marcellus students, faculty and staff!   Great Things are Happening at Marcellus Community Schools!
