Outgoing Transportation Director: Tim Schuur

The Marcellus Board of Education held its regular meeting on December 9.  At this final meeting of the calendar year, the board bid farewell to outgoing board members Sarah Engstrom and Laura Schug and acted on several agenda items.

The board heard administrator reports, approved accounts payable in the amount of $71,280.75, and adopted updates to policies.  The resignation of bus driver Jeremy Reingardt was also accepted.

The administration and board members extended their sincere thanks and best wishes to outgoing Facilities and Transportation Director Tim Schuur.   Schuur, whose resignation is effective on December 31, will take a new position as the Cass County Under Sheriff in January.

In other action, the board acted on a recommendation to hire David Vanderbosch to fill the Facilities and Transportation Director position left open with Schuur’s resignation.  Vanderbosch’s face will be familiar to many as he held the facilities and transportation Director position a few years back.  We are excited to welcome Vanderbosch back to the district!
