The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget’s (DTMB) Michigan Center for Data and Analytics (MCDA) recently released the “Michigan Hot 50” & “Career Outlook” publications. The publications provide valuable information about the jobs and careers projected to be in highest demand in Michigan through 2032. They also include information on the estimated job openings, pay ranges, and the required education or training. I encourage high school students and parents to visit www.michigan.gov/mcda and take a look at the projections, explore the required education and training, and discuss future career plans and aspirations.
High school seniors and their parents are also encouraged to read Mrs. Kulka’s Counselor Connection newsletter which can be found on the school district’s website, www.marcelluscs.org. The newsletter includes important scholarship and FAFSA information, a list of upcoming events, and timely reminders for seniors.
In other news, the Marcellus High School Band debuted their fabulous, new uniforms at the September 20 football game! Many thanks to those who contributed to the fundraising efforts.
Senior cheerleaders were recognized at the September 20 football game. Pictured below is the 2024 football cheer squad. Senior cheerleaders include Brooke Evans, Carlee Osborn, Lyssa Robson, Lillian Lukowski, Sophia Affriseo, Serafine Fischer, and Ronja Carlottta Scheepers. The cheer team is coached by Teri Evans.
