Superintendent's Article

Marcellus Community Schools is pleased to introduce Maria Kulka as the new high school guidance counselor.   The school board approved Ms. Kulka’s hire on September 9.  

Ms. Kulka brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for student success. She has over ten year’s experience in the educational field, including roles as the Educational Talent Search Director and the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Educational Partnerships at Southwestern Michigan College.  As a result of those previous roles, Kulka is already familiar with many Marcellus Community Schools’ staff members, parents, and students.    

In her new role, Kulka will help students develop their academic and career plans and prepare for college and career opportunities. She will also work closely with parents and staff so that students receive the guidance they need to flourish both in and out of the classroom.
