Hello Marcellus Families,

We made it through the first full month of school! The growth that has happened since our first days of school is Amazing. September focused on routines and relationships, October's focus shifts to learning. It's exciting to think about the wonderful things students are doing and learning every day!

Dress Code Reminder (Taken from the 26-27 Student Handbook) Students have the responsibility to dress and groom themselves in a manner that does not detract from the educational process. Revealing, vulgar attire and clothing that supports illegal activities, substances or profanity are prohibited. Clothing depicting alcohol, vaping or tobacco products or those with obscene print, graphics, symbols, pictures, innuendos are not permitted. No clothing or jewelry or other items are to be worn that are defamatory, discriminatory, disruptive, promote anarchy, violence, harassment, or are potentially dangerous. Clothes that are gang affiliated are prohibited. The final decision as to whether dress is appropriate rests with the school administration.

Hello Marcellus Families!

The school year is off to a great start! 

Thank you for the amazingturn out at our open house that took place on August 19th. It wasgreat to see everyone’s support and to see our students and families. We had an averageattendance of 84%.

As many of you are aware, our staff uses Remind or ClassDojo to communicate with our families.  Please be mindful that as much as our staff loves and cares about every child in our district, they also have families of their own. I ask that you contact staff during school hours. If this isn’t feasible due to your own work schedule, please be mindful that staff will get back to you when they return to work.

Please remember that if a student arrives after 8am a parent must sign them in at the front office.  Those parents who are picking up students in the afternoon and/or dropping off in the morning, please have your child(ren) use the door closest to the sidewalk of your vehicle. Any transportation changes, please notify the front office BEFORE 2:15 p.m. (269-646-9209). If you’re picking your child up early from school, it must be done before 2:15. No pick-ups between 2:15 and dismissal.
