Curriculum
MATH – Please continue to work on fact fluency and solving word problems with your child(ren).
READING – Please read to or have your child read for at least 20 minutes every night. After reading ask them questions to work on their understanding of the text.
VOCABULARY - Go beyond nouns – Help your child add adjectives and verbs to his/her vocabulary. Sports and games offer opportunities to use action words. Let your child hear you comment on the softball that soars or the runner who sprints.
MStep TESTING DATES:
May 2nd – 3rd: 3rd Grade Math MSTEP
May 4th and 9th: 4th Grade Math MSTEP
May 10th – 11th: 5th Grade Math MSTEP
May 16th – 19th: MStep Make Ups. All MStep must be completed by May 19th.
Early Release: May 9th, 2022. Early Dismissal at 11:07am
3rd Grade Play: Bugs presented at the Elementary Gym at 1:30pm and 6:30pm on May 18th
4th Grade Field Trip: May 23rd
Kindergarten Field Trip: May 25th
Wildcat Walk: Reminder that the Wildcat Walk is on Friday, May 26, 2023. Look for donation and walk information coming home soon.
Memorial Day: No School on Monday, May 29, 2023
3rd Grade SWIM CAMP: May 30th, May 31st, June 1st, June 2nd, June 5th, June 6th

Thanksgiving Break: Marcellus Community Schools will be closed Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th.

Early Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at 11:07 am on Tuesday, October 10th.
End of Marking Period: The end of the 1st marking period is on Friday, October 27th.
Halloween Festivities: Our plan is to have our Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 31st along with the classroom Halloween Parties and a carnival in the morning.
