Things to know . . .

• Homework hour is at the Middle School Monday-Thursday from 3-4 pm. Homework hour is available to all students and they do not need to sign up in advance.
• There will not be homework hour February 4, or February 19.
• February 19 is a half day for students. Parent/teacher conferences are on this date from 12:00-3:00 p.m. and 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
• February 11 Count Day
• February 13 Spelling Bee at Southwestern Michigan College
• February 25 Band Concert at 7:00 p.m. for grades 7-12 only.
• February 20 and February 23 there is no school for students. Enjoy Mid-Winter Break.
• Saturday School is February 14 from 8:30-11:00 a.m. Families will be notified on February 13 if their student needs to attend. Any student may attend Saturday School - it is available to all students.

Friday Fun Days

Students will be given a new missing assignment report each Friday. On Friday, during select elective class times, students who have missing work are sent to work with staff members to complete as much missing work as possible. Missing work needs to be turned in by the end of the school day on Thursday or it will still appear on the missing assignment report. Students can also use this time to get extra help from a teacher. Students who have all their work completed may participate in board games, movies, open gym, and other fun activities their elective teachers dream up for them. Please ask your child if they have any missing assignments and encourage them to complete any they may have. Our goal is to create a culture where all students do all assignments on time. With all of us working together, we can achieve this goal. Friday Fun Days will begin September 12.
