Things to Know...

• Homework hour is at the Middle School Monday-Thursday from 3-4 pm. Homework hour is available to all students and they do not need to sign up in advance.
• No Homework hour on November 6, November 18, November 19, November 26, and November 27.
• Leaf raking community service project is November 12 from 12:15-2:45. We still need volunteers.
• Thanksgiving break is November 26-28
• Saturday School is November 22 8:30-11:00

• Student Planners

  All Marcellus Middle School students were provided with a planner at the beginning of school this year. The planner is an excellent way to stay informed about student work and can be a quick means of communication between parents and teachers.

  Students are encouraged to use their Planners for recording daily assignments. All students must have their planner signed by a staff member to leave the classroom for bathroom breaks, locker visits, etc.

  If a student loses their planner, replacement planners are available in the office at a cost of $5.00.

Friday Fun Days

Students will be given a new missing assignment report each Friday. On Friday, during select elective class times, students who have missing work are sent to work with staff members to complete as much missing work as possible. Missing work needs to be turned in by the end of the school day on Thursday or it will still appear on the missing assignment report. Students can also use this time to get extra help from a teacher. Students who have all their work completed may participate in board games, movies, open gym, and other fun activities their elective teachers dream up for them. Please ask your child if they have any missing assignments and encourage them to complete any they may have. Our goal is to create a culture where all students do all assignments on time. With all of us working together, we can achieve this goal. Friday Fun Days will begin September 12.
